GESS Indonesia has become one of the amazing experiences for me. It’s play arena for educators who who love learning technology. Full of educational technology exhibition, workshop, seminar, and showcase.
Unfortunately, I only could attend the event shortly as it’s working hour so I should teach my students first in the morning-afternoon then run for GESS Indonesia. However, Craig and I got a chance to talk with one of the most trending edtech community in the world, ISTE (International Society of Technology in Education). We’re also planning for future collaboration ( I will tell you soon) !
Yet, I am happy to witness my friend’s presentation about Google Classroom:
Craig shared how he implemented classroom and BYOD at his previous school. I am impressed the way he shared his experiences with classroom. The story was real and relevant. He even told the struggle and creative solution to overcome all those challenges. His confidence and positive spirit infected the audience to try Classroom. He’s really an excellent Google Certified Trainer!
After listening to Craig’s session, we are experimenting with one of the coolest 4D Augmented Reality apps. Gusman Adi, our fantastic friend joined the session and got the paper for scanning AR:
Then, it was continued by collaborative session: We introduced Google Educator Group West Jakarta. We introduced how our community has redesigned Teacher Professional Development into fun and exciting experiences to all educators who want to learn technology.
Here’s our presentation slide:
We also just launched our upcoming event :
Google Educator Group West Jakarta Study Group.
Topic: Google for Education Training Center Fundamental Training. Through this study group, we want to support educators to be recognized as future Google Certified Educator.
It’s coming soon !
